VEXTRA® (GLV) Premium tape is a noncombustible vermiculite-coated fiberglass tape. The vermiculite coating acts as a superior heat-resistant armor for use on small steam lines, hose coverings, expansion joints, and manifold wraps. It is available either plain or bolt hole. This light weight, non-irritating tape remains stable to 1500°F (815°C). If adhesive is used to aid in the installation process, the temperature resistance is limited to 300°F. After the material is in place, however, the insulation tape usually mechanically bonded so that the adhesive is no longer necessary.
